The Karthaus Collection is a private brand of the Karthaus workshops. We have been recognized workshops for people with disabilities since 1977 and have been part of the Anna-Katharinenstift Karthaus in Dülmen/Westphalia, Germany. People with various needs and many individual abilities live and work here.

Under the motto “From special people – for special people, we produce and sell our high-quality and durable products, including educational wooden toys. However, there is more behind our motto – our products are not only made by people with special talents, they are also particularly suitable for people with a wide range of special needs. All our products have been tested in our educational and therapeutic practice and found to be “GOOD.”

Why do you design wooden toys for children and people with special needs?

We produce and design our products under the motto “by special people – for special people.” We pay special attention to the abilities and interests of the people who work for us, which we can prove through 100 years of experience as an institution for people with special needs.

What is special about your Karthaus Collection?

Sustainability is particularly important to us, which is why all products are produced and stored in a CO2-neutral manner. Furthermore, all products from the Karthaus Collection have been tested by TÜV-Nord according to the European standard for toy safety DIN EN 71 and have received the GS mark for tested safety.

When and where were Karthaus Workshops established?

We have been recognized workshops for people with disabilities since 1977 and part of the Anna-Katharinenstift Karthaus since 1921.

We produce all our toys in our own workshops and pay attention to high-quality, natural, and durable material.
