What kind of furniture does a child need in a room in which it plays, learns things and sleeps? How can a kids room be fashioned so that it uses a minimum of the earth’s natural resources as well as parents’ financial resources? For the first time ever, afilii will curate and present a growing kids’ room at the Heim+Handwerk in Munich. The international hub & platform for meaningful design for kids will demonstrate how it’s done: international and independent labels have designed children’s toys and furniture that revolve around children’s needs and that create a space in which those needs can evolve and unfold.
