A roof over the bed or bars all around? The well-known educationalist Maria Montessori knew: Toddlers sleep well when they feel safe, rather than when they are safely put away. And what provides a bigger sense of security than feeling at home in one’s bed? The Italian designer Paola Bernardotto from ‘ettomio couldn’t agree more. She designed an organic montessori house bed for toddlers made from carefully treated spruce, which the little ones can get in and out of on their own. It even comes with a removable organic cotton cover for the roof. Available in versions for children from 0-5 and up to 7 to 99 years.
