Your child is at home, but all you hear is silence? Quite suspicious. Unless it simply withdrew to its cosy Sila, a piece of acoustic children’s furniture between 1-10 years of age. The modular item on four wooden legs blocks noise using colourful wall elements made of felt that can easily be rearranged – to create a reading corner for a book worm, an exciting cave for explorers or a tunnel into a quiet parallel universe in the midst of our loud lives. But be aware: Adults need a special invite to join the fun. As an audience maybe, when two Silas pushed together turn into puppet theatre.
