Tell us about your background. How did you become a designer?

I was a kid who enjoyed drawing new structure which was a combination of everyday objects. I was curious what would happen if I could make it in real. I think it influenced me to have interests of designing product and to become a postgraduate student for product design, now.

What was your inspiration for “Toy Stool”?

I really love children. Because of their verdancy. Usually I spent a lot of time with my nephew. “Toy Stool” is a design inspired by my nephew. I want to present a product that they can use enjoyable through the design.

If you look into a crystal ball and predict your future as a designer: what children’s product would you like to design next?

“TOY STOOL” is a characteristic that can be enjoyed the act of playing block through the stacking stool. Children will be able to feel a sense of accomplishment and enjoyment from it. Thus the design and use of product that can enjoyed the kids get “something” is my hope.

Good design for kids – what does that mean for you?

Children are very instinctive and curious. They constantly look for something new and excited things. Therefore they need the product to meet their needs and that can be stimulated themselves. I think the product that can be used instinctively meets children’s interest and curiosity, At the same time it performs the functional role of design. If this situation and objective design are beneficial to their growth, I feel enjoyable and worth.
