Why you design products for children?
I initially designed a project for childen after a command of Playtime fair. They organised an exhibition around “games for kids” and asked differents designer to create something with foam. The exhibition was called “play with design” I really enjoyed the challenge.
What was your inspiration for game 2050?
I have been inspired by the future, by the fact of wondering “what will live a child, in 30 years, whom was born today”. “What will be the world when a kid of today will be my age ? With all these changes”. And I decided to dedicate an object to the future of every kid.
Why is this product especially suited for children as a play furniture?
Because it is in foam and you can play with big elements, jump on it, throw them away, stack them, try combination. It is very playfull and totally safe. It suits to childern and parents.
Do you have children of your own? If so, how do they respond to your product/your products?
I do not have children yet but I gave this object to the children of my friend for one evening in my house, they loved it so much.
A few personal questions at the end: What toys did you play with as a child? Did you have a favorite toy?
Playmobiles in the big garden
And subsequently: What toy do you think is a completely superfluous?
