I am very fascinated by the things that have multiple readings. I like to work in an open way and “play” with form and function, especially in an object I like to have more shapes and more features together, I think it is really fun. For superbambi the multifunction and multiform concept was the basis of the idea; a sort of a smart piece.

Kids love it because of the playful colors and the form. They can build there own piece depending on their needs; as an table or chair. Parents love it because of the firmness and the quality of the laminate surface.

I think there is a big need for innovative functional children products out-there. When I was pregnant with my first kid we lived in a small space and worked from home. We wanted a small crib with storage space that I could move in the house and the project started.

The main idea of the project is to redesign the classical crib with its typical bars, in order to came up with a different and innovative concept. This concept stems from two different products, the crib and a mat where the kid can play.

From early childhood to adulthood, we love to play with puzzles and modular toys. These toys teach and prepare kids early in life for some very important life skills. In case of Animaze, a puzzle was redesigned to become a kids-friendly furniture system.

During one of our studio visits, we had the opportunity to watch a craftsman weave a large carpet. We also took into account games from our own childhood. These observations allowed us to create a piece of furniture that naturally encourages kids to personalize their space and practice their motor skills while having fun.
